First introduced in 1961, the Casino was just one of several new thinline archtops designed and produced at the company's adopted new factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan that it shared with one-time competitor and new partner, Gibson. The Casino was first adopted. Of course, this doesn't apply to Les Pauls, which do correctly have a 16th-fret neck joint - because the body is much smaller! But that doesn't make it right on a full-size hollowbody. The odd thing is that you only have to look at the bridge and the f-holes to know what's right and what's wrong - the bridge should be level with the 'notch' in.

The Epiphone® Casino® is a thinline hollow body guitar introduced in 1961. It was made popular by guitarists such as George Harrison, Keith Richards, John Lennon, Howlin' Wolf, The Edge, Paul McCartney, and others. Manufacturer: Epiphone® Period: 1961-Present. Body type: Hollow. Neck joint: Set. Scale: 24.75 in. Body: Maple. Neck: Mahogany. The Epiphone Casino is unlike any other electric guitar I've ever owned or played. It's an electric guitar with a fully acoustic body, loaded with p90 pickups. I expected the body to feel oversized but was surprised that it didn't feel much bigger than other guitars I've owned. The neck is a slim shape and feels fast to play.
